Gwinnett Dental Career Academy - Staff

Dr. Tina Heil is the Director of Gwinnett Dental Career Academy and also a practicing general dentist and the owner of Suwanee Family Dentistry. Before opening Suwanee Family Dentistry, she received her Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Gwinnett Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Heil's teaching experience includes an appointment as a clinical instructor in the Oral Rehabilitation Department at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Heil has also been a FAA Certificated Flight Instructor for 10 years, and has attained a NAFI Master Flight Instructor Designation. She expects to apply her previous experience teaching student pilots and student dentists to this new project of teaching dental assistants.

Cindy Maison is the Program Leader and Instructor for Gwinnett Dental Career Academy. She has more than fifteen years experience in general dentistry as well as several specialties including dental laboratory work. She has experience with all back office duties as well as the front office. She has expanded duties and radiology certifications. She truly enjoys dentistry and is an excellent instructor.
